Integrated event management group, GL Events has announced it has entered into exclusive negotiations for the acquisition of 51% of the capital of Add Group in Saudi Arabia.
A non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to that effect has been signed that would see the Riyadh-based event organiser join the GL Events portfolio.
Add Group has been operating for over 10 years with a diversified client portfolio and had a turnover exceeding €90m in 2023.
With nearly 400 employees, Add Group is involved in all stages of event production, including event management and communication, stand design, signage, audiovisual services, logistics, and more. Add Group is also the owner and organiser of the Innovation Zero World Congress in the UK.
This acquisition would represent a significant step in GL Events’ expansion in the Middle East and would facilitate an acceleration of market penetration through an established local player in the event industry,
The service offering would be expanded also for GL events, with Add Group complementing the group’s activities (temporary structures, energy distribution, exhibition organisation, etc.) across the entire value chain, including general installation, furniture, audiovisual and signage.
The transaction is expected to be finalised by the end of June 2025 and is subject to the completion of due diligence and the signing of the transfer agreements.
