Interactive floor plan provider ExpoFP has launched ‘You Are Here’ QR codes and post-show reports to improve event navigation and analytics.
The post-show reports allow customers to access data, such as total floor plan views, total users, total sessions, top searches (most popular items searched for on the floor plan), top routes, top exhibitors, top categories and more. The analytics are available in all customer accounts.
If an event organiser wants to increase income by selling logos in headers or booths, the analytics can be used to show that sponsored booths with logos receive significantly more clicks than those without – which is likely to lead to more traffic at the event.
For improved navigating, ExpoFP is launching a QR code system. Organisers generate QR codes which correspond to specific locations at the venue. Attendees scan these codes with their phones to see their current location on a map. They can then search for any booth they want to visit and are shown the shortest route to it. The tool was introduced for the first time at IMEX America.
ExpoFP CEO Ross Sudentas said: “Event technology that offers insights is invaluable – it helps organisers make choices that improve both the flow and impact of an event. Wayfinding is one of those things you don’t realise you need until you’re lost without it.”
