SALTEX, a UK-based turf management trade show, has announced that the 2022 exhibition was attended by almost 15% more attendees than its 2021 edition in a return of pre-pandemic confidence.
Over 8,300 attendees from more than 50 countries attended the 76th iteration of the event, which ran in the from 2-3 November at Birmingham NEC. The show has stated that the increase in delegate numbers demonstrates a return of pre-pandemic confidence.
SALTEX is a trade show for the grounds and turf care industries, attended by volunteers, professionals, suppliers, and manufacturers.
Geoff Webb, CEO of The Grounds Management Association (GMA), said: “As a not-for-profit, everything we earn gets ploughed back into the industry through investment in resources and initiatives that benefit the grounds care sector.
“With the 2022 show being such a hit, we look forward to beginning work on ensuring we build on this success and make the 2023 show even better for the sector.”
In recognition of current economic challenges, the GMA introduced a special show rate for 2022 exhibitors, meaning that exhibiting at the 2023 show will cost the same despite interest rates and inflation increases.
An independently audited post-show survey of the event is currently underway. It will examine the show’s effectiveness in generating leads and sales for exhibitors, and the role it plays in attendees’ overall business strategy. A date has not yet been set for the release of the results.
