Cyprus - A Cypriot company is tackling the financial pressures facing the exhibition industry by taking trade fairs online.
Nicosia-based BusinessGlobal launches a new website on 1 September, a virtual exhibition venue that invites companies to interact, develop business relationships and explore opportunities without the costs associated with organising and attending a real-world international trade fair.
BusinessGlobal chairman Andreas Kaisis and the vice president of the China-Europe Association for Technical and Economic Cooperation, Mr Wu Haiyu, signed a deal to launch the first online event, titled The Best of China, during a press conference in Beijing this May.
Deputy director general of the Asia department at China’s Ministry of Commerce, Mr Liang Wentao, attended the press conference. “Due to the continuous shrinking of the global economy, the success of developing markets is being halted, affecting all types of business activities. Therefore an on-line international trade exhibition is the ideal solution for businesses to expand their activities abroad,” he said.
The Best of China virtual international trade fair runs on the website from 1 September to 31 October, showcasing products and services from China to international buyers.
