US - UBM now owns and controls forest industry information provider RISI after acquiring the remaining 48 per cent of the company from Pegasus Partners II for $14.3m.
RISI, which provides forecasts and analysis on the global forest products industry, including pulp and paper, tissue, wood products and timber, also runs a small portfolio of events globally including the North American Forest Products Conference in September.
UBM has also confirmed the appointment of Mike Coffey as RISI’s chief executive officer. Coffey joined RISI as chief information officer in April 2007 and has more recently served as the business's chief operating officer.
