Australia - The Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo has confirmed record attendance levels at its 17th show in Melbourne, February, following an audit by the Circulations Audit Board.
A total of 3,581 visitors attended the two-day event, which saw the number of exhibitors increase by 3.8 per cent. First time exhibitors rose by 22 per cent to 298 of the 854 exhibitors from 50 countries.
AIME is a joint venture between Reed Exhibitions and the Melbourne Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Group exhibition director of meetings and incentive events at Reed Travel Exhibitions, Paul Kennedy MBE, says: “These results prove both the resilience of the meetings and incentive industry. AIME is a testament to the fact that events that bring buyers and sellers face to face are even more important in challenging economic conditions.”
