Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (the Centre), will welcome HOMEDEC, a home design and interior show, as its first exhibition in 2021 from 28 to 31 October. The show goes ahead as the government moves to re-open the industry allowing business continuity in the supply chain and stimulation of domestic economy.
On the back of the recent government announcement expediting the resumption of business events, over 50 events ranging from conferences, exhibitions, meetings and dinners are to take place at the Centre by year-end.
Alan Pryor, the Centre’s general manager, said: “We are delighted to resume business with HOMEDEC being the first major consumer exhibition in the venue. This event has always been a significant part of our annual event calendar and to host it again after a challenging two years, is a privilege to me and my team. We have worked very closely with the organisers to ensure a safe and smooth journey for visitors and guests while at the Centre during these four days.”
Pryor added that a myriad of safety and hygiene measures, from policies to infrastructure, were in place with strict enforcement to provide a secure, controlled and regulated event environment, making the Centre the first venue in Malaysia to obtain the ‘SafeBE’, hygiene label for convention centres by Bureau Veritas.
“We urge all visitors to comply with new norm standards from entry to exit point while visiting the Centre.,” Pryor added.
Recurring at the Centre since 2006, the lifestyle show is a place to discover new designs and home solutions and gain insights and inspiration for the best #HOMEDECisions and makeovers. The show is spread over five exhibition halls and 10,000sqm.
