The 17th edition of Automechanika Shanghai, hosted at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center, concluded on 18 February 2023 with 106,383 on site visitors having attended the show, meeting with 3,302 exhibitors.
Organisers Messe Frankfurt and the China National Machinery Industry International Co Ltd (Sinomachint) said the numbers pointed to a surge of market activity in the global automotive supply chain. The visitors came from 89 countries and regions for a four-day show that covered 220,000sqm.
Other statistics released by organisers showed that 58 fringe events took place during the show and 400,000 online visits were recorded through AMS Live. On-demand video content and exhibitor searches on the platform will remain open until 17 March 2023.
Many overseas and domestic supply chain partners were reuniting for the first time since the previous edition in 2020 and, overall, the event saw a 33 percent increase in visitors.
Exhibitors keenly showcased their latest innovations in line with an industry-wide shift towards environmental sustainability, autonomy, intelligence and new mobility.
