ITE wins Petrotech 2010 contract

India – International organiser ITE Group has signed an agreement with the Indian company, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) to organise the biennial energy event, Petrotech 2010.

The event, which will be held from 31 October to 3 November in New Delhi, is an exhibition and conference for the global energy industry that last year drew more than 270 exhibitors and 4,000 delegates and was visited by more than 13,000.

The theme of the 2010 edition is ‘Global Energy Equilibrium’, which will focus on India’s reach into the global energy community to secure its future energy independence, India is currently the world’s fifth largest energy consumer and possesses significant oil and gas reserves.

ITE’s head of Oil and Gas events, Graeme Coombes, said the event fits in very well with the company’s existing portfolio of international oil and gas events in emerging markets. “It means that we have another proven business forum to offer our clients and I’m confident we can be a significant contributor to the continued success of Petrotech,” he said.

ITE will manage international sales and promotion for the event, and has signed a separate agreement with the Indian organiser, iTEN Media, which will manage domestic sales, marketing, on-site operational and technical issues.
