Bahrain – Bahrain’s second annual Food and Hospitality Expo is set to double in exhibitor participation year-on-year when it opens on 12 January.
Under the patronage of the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and organised by the Bahrain Exhibition and Convention Authority (BECA), the exhibition has signed 81 exhibitors compared to the 40 exhibiting in 2009.
Sponsor and the largest exhibitor, Lulu Hypermarket, is doubling its presence at the exhibition taking 320sqm of the 6,000sqm show floor.
BECA chief executive, Hassan Jaffer Mohammed, says the event offers improved opportunities for exhibitors, “especially for retailers wishing to boost their sales through partnerships.”
This will be a major feather in the cap of former deputy CEO of the Bahrain Exhibition and Convention Authority (BECA) and recently appointed CEO of exhibition and convention development, Expo@bahrain, at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre (BIECC), Debbie Stanford-Kristiansen.
Stanford-Kristiansen held an executive position on the Board of SITE (Society of Incentive and Travel Executives) Great Britain and Ireland chapter, including two years as chapter president.
The Food and Hospitality Expo will be held at BIECC from 12 to 14 January 2010.
