Saudi Arabia – While global automotive exhibitions are struggling to hit first gear, the organiser of the 27th Riyadh Motor Show sees a strong future in the Middle East.
With Saudi Arabian automotive imports in 2008 alone exceeding SAR $38billion, and expected to increase by five per cent in 2009, the organiser Riyadh Exhibitions Company is claiming a combined 35 per cent exhibitor growth year-on-year with its co-located Saudi Autoshop 2009.
The two shows will be held for the first time at the newly completed Riyadh International Exhibition Centre, pictured, from 12 to 16 December 2009.
“The Saudi Government has greatly influenced the expansion of the automotive and auto parts sectors by offering attractive financial plans and investment incentives,” says project manager of Riyadh Motor Show, Kamil Al Jawhari. “These factors open up huge opportunities for dealers, car parts and accessories distributors, retailers and aftermarket service providers.”
Saudi Autoshop 2009 will host 55 exhibitors within 15,000 square metres of indoor and outdoor exhibition space.
