China - Beijing's China National Convention Centre, home to several Olympic contests last year, has booked 173 events ahead of its November re-launch.
The venue is due to reopen in November following a conversion of the facilities from their roles as sporting halls to their originally intended functions as a convention and exhibition centre.
Events currently on the books are expected to attract 320,000 attendees to the venue, which now has 36,000 square metres of exhibition space and 23,600 square metres of meeting space.
The retro-fitting exercise includes the replacement of sport-style seating with a retractable tiered-seating system and the installation of sound-proof dividers to create three halls.
