Germany - This year’s Productronica 2009, a trade fair for innovative electronic products, is supporting new enterprise with a pavilion for fledgling companies.
Exhibition organiser Messe München is hoping the new ‘Innovation Field’ programme will attract small or young exhibitors with reduced cost stand offers and financial support. The package is aimed at all potential exhibitors and contains a preferential placement in the focus areas of the trade fair. Each stand includes fixtures, fittings, branding and a number of communication measures.
Managing director of Messe München International, Klaus Dittrich, says the exhibition will be enriched by giving companies with limited funds the opportunity to take part.
“Our objective is to give companies with a small budget the opportunity to position themselves on the international market for electronics production,” he says. “However, the trade fair will also benefit from these exhibitors as it is often smaller and younger companies, in particular, that surprise us with their great innovative strength.”
In order to receive financial support of up to €7,500 (US$10,670) companies must have their head office and business operations in Germany, a workforce of fewer than 50 employees and a maximum annual balance sheet total or a maximum annual turnover of €10 million. The companies may not have been actively involved on the market for more than 10 years when productronica 2009 starts.
