World Summit AI set for Middle East expansion following five-year deal with Qatar

Inspired Minds, organiser of the two-day World Summit AI taking place in Amsterdam this week, has signed a five-year deal to geo-adapt its event in Qatar.

World Summit AI MENA 2024 will take place at the Doha Exhibition & Convention Center (DECC) in November next year. It will bring together thousands of AI enterprises, big tech, startups, investors and scientists who are at the forefront of AI both in the region and from abroad.

Hassan Al Sayed, chair of the AI committee in Qatar (pictured left), said “We are delighted to be hosting the Middle East version of the World’s renowned AI Summit next year. We believe it will be a great platform for exchanging innovative ideas and bringing global AI thought leaders to Qatar to complement our efforts in becoming a regional innovation and AI hub.”

According to Inspired Minds CEO and founder Sarah Porter (pictured right), World Summit AI MENA 2024 will provide an opportunity to promote collaboration within the Middle East and make Qatar its Middle Eastern hub of AI innovation.

Porter said: “We aim to democratise access to AI by inviting inclusive perspectives and creating a platform for worldwide exchange of knowledge and skills. This expansion into the MENA region further solidifies our position as the global AI community.”
