Unlock your event’s potential in Thailand, where connections thrive

TCEB - Thailand Business Events

The global exhibitions industry is defined by its ability to help us connect; to industry, to other professions, to markets and potential partners overseas and, of course, to one another. For any organiser of international trade events, the ability to connect your audience with industrial opportunity is crucial to success.

This ability also happens to be a core objective of our Thailand Vision 2030, established to direct capital and resources into eight of the country’s key industries including tourism, wellness & medical, food, aviation, future automotive manufacturing, technology and finance.

More than US$1.1bn has already been approved this year for investment in EV manufacture, renewable energy, logistical infrastructure and equipment. The next four years will see this investment extended to include agriculture, food, medical, smart electronics and digital and creative enterprise, via our national investment promotion policy.

This investment is great news for overseas businesses keen to invest; and even better news for international exhibition organisers seeking to connect their audiences within these industries.

Connecting you to opportunity

Geographic connectivity is no less important to the success of international events, and as an established regional transit hub Thailand is dedicated to increasing the number of visitors at its events from ASEAN countries.

The ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) has a combined GDP of US$2.8 trillion, making it the fastest-growing Indo-Pacific economy after China and India. Thailand has invested US$25bn in infrastructure projects that improve connection to these countries, increasing our value to international organisers seeking to connect with these countries, as well as China, Japan and the CLMV countries Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam.

Within our own borders there is opportunity in every town and city. Our capital Bangkok may have 14 exhibition centres, 160,000sqm of exhibition space and more than 100,000 rooms, but we want to present you with opportunities from across the country.

A local partner supporting global growth

Chiruit Isarangkun Na Ayuthaya, president of Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (public organisation), or TCEB, emphasises the organisation’s focus on four key sectors: Food Security, Creative Soft Power, Health-Tech Innovation, and Urban Quality of Life & Mobility. These sectors, identified for their economic and social impact potential, are considered crucial to Thailand’s future development. TCEB envisions the MICE industry as a catalyst, driving these sectors to become national economic strengths and positioning Thailand as a high value-added Asian MICE destination.

TCEB’s current organiser-focused initiatives include the Thailand MICE One-Stop Service; marketing assistance; regional competitor analysis before the event; and an audit service afterwards. On the visitor side, fast track lanes for MICE arrivals and free visas extended to countries including China, Kazakhstan and India, demonstrate our commitment to simplifying the visitor experience.
