UFI, the global association of the exhibition industry, is gearing up for its largest and most global event of the year, which will take place 20-23 November 2024. The association offers this mini preview:
After the 90th UFI Global Congress in Las Vegas last year, this year’s event is heading to another one of our industry’s top three global markets – Germany. The 91st UFI Global Congress will be hosted by Koelnmesse in the vibrant city of Cologne, set within their newly inaugurated Confex centre.
A highlight of this year’s edition in Cologne is that it coincides with the centennial celebration of Koelnmesse, a cornerstone institution that has shaped the exhibition landscape over the past century.
This year’s Congress theme will focus on changes and chances within the global exhibition industry. As we are on track to achieve our industry’s best year ever on the global average, disruptive forces are challenging and changing the very foundations of our success. A complex, less consistent future is taking shape in economics, societies, and geopolitics. How do we respond as businesses and as a globally connected industry?
So, we will discuss changes, identify challenges, and look for the opportunities that lie in there for your businesses. We will run a strategy power hour with global thought leaders, bring back the Exhibition Industry Board, and we will meet this year’s Next Generation Leaders (NGLs).
Around 220 colleagues from across the exhibition industry have already signed up, and the programme development is progressing at full speed. Keep an eye out for the announcement of our diverse line-up of speakers in the coming weeks, representing a wide range of expertise and perspectives.
Beyond the sessions, the UFI Global Congress offers invaluable networking opportunities, enabling professionals to connect, share insights, and build relationships that will drive the industry forward.
Post-Congress tours and social activities will immerse delegates in the historically rich Cologne, Germany’s fourth-largest city. Participants can look forward to experiencing a unique culinary culture, including Kölsch brewery restaurant culture, as well as a vibrant art scene that dates to the Middle Ages.
UFI extends a warm invitation to all its members and colleagues from partner associations, including SISO, ICCA, and AIPC, to take part in this pivotal event. The upcoming Congress is not just an opportunity to reflect on the industry’s rich history but also a chance to shape its future.
Join the UFI Global Congress in Cologne for an event that promises to be both transformative and inspirational. This is an opportunity to navigate the changes and seize the chances that will drive the evolution of the exhibition industry.
