UFI Asia-Pacific Conference 2021: ‘All signal, no noise’

Delegates have been tuning in digitally to global association of the exhibition industry UFI’s Asia-Pacific Conference, 20 May, to network and take part in a packed agenda of sessions delivered via the Grip platform.

Topics covered in the first half of the conference, moderated by UFI's regional director for APAC, Mark Cochrane, included: The future of multi-channel events; Growth strategy in China in a post-pandemic world and an absorbing session on why the exhibition industry should take note of e-sports and gaming.

Founder and group CEO at Fireworks Trade Media, Kenny Yong gave good insight and examples of making events happen during the pandemic, while corporate travel and meetings and building digital communities were topics for the later sessions, 20 May, with input from speakers from Novartis and American Express.

The Asia-Pacific Conference kicks off a busy period for UFI  with its MEA Conference on 26 May as a hybrid event from Dubai and its European Conference, a digital-only event 9-10 June.

The UFI Asia-Pacific Conference is set to run F2F in Macao in 2022.
