Singapore Airshow and Aviation Week Network conclude strategic partnership for content

Asia’s most influential aerospace and defence event, Singapore Airshow, has concluded a strategic media and knowledge partnership with Aviation Week Network, information and services provider for the global aviation, aerospace, and defence industries.

The partnership will aim to bring strategic insights to every Singapore Airshow, and the two years between each edition.

Despite the current pandemic, Asia Pacific remains the fastest growing region in the world for aviation; accounting for 40% of the new aircraft deliveries over the next 20 years, according to Boeing Commercial Outlook 2021-2040.

“While Singapore Airshow is already a never-to-miss event among aerospace and defence leaders and decision-makers, we are constantly seeking ways to bring value as a strategic global node in the aerospace and defence ecosystem. Aviation Week Network has been a loyal partner, and we are thrilled to elevate our partnership to a new level that strengthens Singapore Airshow’s value proposition as a platform that facilitates conversations, collaboration and adoption of technologies,” says Mr Leck Chet Lam, managing director, Experia Events Pte Ltd, organiser of Singapore Airshow.

The partnership kicks off with a strategic webinar on ‘The Future of Aerospace in the Asia-Pacific” on 29 November 2022, 4.30pm SGT. In the lead-up to Singapore Airshow 2022, and after, both organisations are committed to delivering quality content and insights on a regular frequency to its audiences.

“Our strategic partnership with Singapore Airshow strengthens our ongoing strategy to provide comprehensive insight, intelligence and connections across our core communities within aviation, aerospace and defence,” said Greg Hamilton, president Aviation Week Network. “Aviation Week Network is thrilled to support the Singapore Airshow and provide the community with daily news and detailed data and analysis from the industry’s most experienced and connected team of experts to help engage and enable discussion.”

Singapore Airshow is set to return for its 8th edition, 15-18 February 2022 at Changi Exhibition Centre, Singapore. It will be primarily for trade with no public day programmes. “We are excited that Singapore Airshow will open a new year with an in-person event; this is a strong affirmation of Singapore’s reputation as a safe MICE destination,” says Mr Leck.

Key participating exhibitors will include Airbus, Bell, Boeing, Collins Aerospace, Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Gulfstream, Honeywell, Israel Aerospace Industries, Leonardo, Lockheed Martin, Rolls-Royce, ST Engineering and Textron Aviation.

Singapore Airshow 2022 will be organised on a by-invite basis. All attendees will be required to adhere to travel requirements and safe management measures stipulated by Singapore’s authorities.
