Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center in China has connected to the first phase of Shenzhen Metro Line 20. The line, which has five stations, connects municipal rail traffic to the complex.
Starting from Airport North station of Line 11, Metro Line 20, since 28 December, has been running through Convention & Exhibition City, stopping at respectively at Airport North, Shenzhen World South, Shenzhen World, Shenzhen World North and, finally, Convention & Exhibition City.
At Airport North station passengers can transfer to the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Intercity Railway. Line 20 will, in future, connect directly with Bao’an International Airport Terminal 4, currently under construction.
Visitors arriving to Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center by Metro face a short, 100m walk to the venue after exiting from C1 and C2 of Shenzhen World North station or Shenzhen World station.
The new Line 20 also serves transport needs of citizens in Shajing, Airport New Town and other areas.
Metro Line 20 trains operate with eight units of automatic driverless train and the service runs 7am to 10pm. During peak hours in the morning and evening the train interval is seven minutes that for non-peak hours is nine minutes. The entire line journey takes 13 minutes to cover the 8.43km.
