Events and technology company Reed Exhibitions (RX) has released the findings from its recent global industry research, which surveyed its customers’ challenges and attitudes to events after Covid-19.

Following RX’s Covid Barometer research of 2020 and 2021, the company’s Customer Mindset Tracker is the Barometer’s next step. Through the Mindset Tracker, RX stated that it hopes to better understand its customer’s priorities.

For 78% of survey respondents, attending trade shows in person is still their business’ preference. This is up from 68% in 2021.

RX explained that its Mindset Tracker has narrowed down five challenges that exhibitors and attendees are most concerned about post-pandemic. These include reduced sales, meeting new customers, and keeping on top of market trends. The respondents’ feedback stated that attending shows in-person alleviates these concerns.

On the research’s findings, Gaby Appleton, RX’s chief digital product officer, commented: “The research confirms that there is a strong desire among exhibitors and visitors to grow their businesses and expand to new products and markets.”
