Reminder: International Confex statement see you in September

A reminder that Mash Media has confirmed that the UK events industry’s flagship show, International Confex, will move to 1-2 September 2021.

The event’s organising team has released the following statement, which includes comment from venue partner ExCeL London:

"As you know we have been rallying hard to run International Confex 2021 as soon as possible within safety considerations. We cannot thank you enough for the enormous support you have showed and given us over the last few months.

"While we are logistically ready to run in a variety of formats and we take our responsibility as being the first event out extremely seriously, we take our responsibility to all our stakeholders even more so, and as we cannot guarantee the event the exhibitors deserve and that all the visitors from the entire MICE industry wants, we have decided to delay the event by a few weeks more.

"Our new dates 1-2 September 2021 will still allow us to be one of the vanguards in pushing forward with live events and kicks off the autumn season of the event calendar with renewed confidence for all stakeholders.

"Simon Mills, executive director of our venue partner ExCeL London, added: 'We’ve been working tirelessly with the team at Mash Media to ensure that we can deliver a safe event, and whilst we are disappointed not to be hosting our industry next week, we are fully supportive of Mash’s decision to postpone International Confex. Delaying for just a short period will enable us to deliver the best possible event for all involved and we cannot wait to welcome everyone back to ExCeL very soon'.

"If you have registered your ticket will roll to the new dates, registration is still open and visitors are encouraged to register for a free place. If you have booked a hotel we remind you to postpone the booking to align with International Confex’s new dates.

"We apologise for any distress this causes the community, but rest assured this decision has not been taken lightly and it is in everyone’s best interest. We hope you understand the reasoning behind this decision and look forward to delivering, with you, an event that the community deserves.

"We go again."
