Diddy Durant (pictured, right) and Annette Bos (pictured left) joined the team of directors at Dutch venue and organiser RAI Amsterdam on 1 September.
As director markets, Bos is responsible for the RAI’s 25 national and international exhibition titles. Durant is the new director business development, responsible for promoting Amsterdam and the RAI as the ideal destination for all kinds of international events.
The new appointments highlight RAI Amsterdam’s commitment to investing both in its current organisation and in the future, as the convention centre aims to stimulate further growth in the Netherlands and globally. Leveraging on their rich experience in the exhibition industry, Durant and Bos will aim to enhance the way the RAI’s events respond to organiser, exhibitor and visitor requirements, while also further optimising the potential of the vibrant sectors which the RAI serves.
With a career in the event services industry already spanning over 20 years, Durant has developed a strong network, a high level of industry knowledge and a proven ability to make events thrive. She joined the RAI in 2012 and has been a key player in the brand’s strong international development.
Bos joined the trade show industry in 1999 and has been director of Aquatech Global at RAI Amsterdam for the past ten years. She is an acknowledged expert in developing new business areas, strategic growth, restructuring and turnaround management.
“I am delighted to add Annette and Diddy to our management team,” says RAI COO Maurits van der Sluis. “Together with Bart van der Heijden, director events, the team has an enormous network and enormous knowledge and expertise in the industry. These are used to the full, to ensure that the many conferences and exhibitions we organise and facilitate - here in Amsterdam and elsewhere in the world - are a great success.”
