RAI Amsterdam has said farewell to Mathys Taekema (pictured), who moves on to stand designers A-Booth after 14 years at the company. During his time at RAI, Taekema spent a decade in the pivotal role of international business development manager where he was instrumental in attracting a wide array of international events to the iconic Amsterdam venue.
“Mathys was given the opportunity to develop and grow at RAI Amsterdam, and through this, he made significant contributions to strengthening RAI's position as a leading venue. We work closely with A-Booth, who assist both us and our clients in delivering outstanding events at RAI Amsterdam. The good news is that we don’t lose sight of each other in this small world of events,” said Diddy Durant, director business development at RAI Amsterdam.
A-Booth currently works with top European trade show organisers, including Informa, to deliver innovative booth solutions across the continent.
In his new position, Taekema will lead A-Booth’s Commercial Department and will be responsible for driving the company’s European growth ambitions.
Chris van Dam, CEO of A-Booth, said: “We are eagerly anticipating Mathys' arrival. We have known him for years through our close partnership with RAI Amsterdam. Mathys is a seasoned event professional with an extensive network. We expect him to make a valuable contribution to the further development, growth, and professionalisation of A-Booth.”
