Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), a leading organiser of global trade shows and conferences, is continuing its expansion in Brazil with a 100% acquisition of the InfraFM Expo. IEG will take over management of the event which runs 4-5 June at Expo Centre Norte in São Paulo.
Expo InfraFM is an event that provides solutions, trends and technologies for the management of condominiums, facilities, properties and workplaces. Brazil provides a market with more than 200,000 condominiums.
“Thanks to this acquisition,” says IEG CEO, Corrado Peraboni, “we are entering a market worth €70bn in Brazil and which is expected to exceed €2 trillion worldwide by 2025. We have ambitious plans and aim to be one of the top five exhibition organisers in the country.”
“In 2023,” Graziano Messana, managing director of IEG in Brazil, says, “we acquired 100% of MundoGeo, bringing together four sectors: drones, space, geolocation and eVtol (“flying machines”). The event grew by 50% in the first edition under our management. We foresee similar high development potential for InfraFM, thanks also to constant collaboration with its founder.”
Francesco Santa, IEG's international business development director adds that the Group, which started operating in Brazil in 2022, also organises Fesqua, Ebrats and BTFF and now has a product portfolio that covers a strategic range of sectors from wellness to civil construction.
In 2023, IEG recorded revenues of €212.4m (+32% compared to the previous year), with an EBITDA of €49.5m.
