The IMEX Group has appointed former SITE head of events Tahira Endean (pictured left) as head of programme, to remodel the group’s trade show content (IMEX Frankfurt and IMEX America).
Based in Vancouver, Endean will spearhead a three-year education strategy behind the group’s content redesign – working with IMEX Marcomms and Knowledge and Education teams.
The IMEX education programme was developed in 2005 by Dale Hudson, knowledge and events director. The programme has been continuously refined over its 15 years.
On the content project, Endean explained: “We’re focused on designing learning with buyer requirements in mind first and foremost, as we want them to have meetings that are enhanced by education at the show.”
“Our combined aim is for attendees to leave each session with tangible takeaways that also support their meetings onsite.”
Changes to education programming are already in place for IMEX America in Las Vegas, on 10 October. The theme for the show's content has additionally been announced - ‘Pathways to Clarity’. Further details are set to be announced in the coming weeks.
IMEX America’s content will open with Smart Monday, followed by the three-day trade show from 11 – 13 October.
Carina Bauer, CEO of the IMEX Group, added: “[Endean’s] extensive industry experience, large network of contacts and fresh approach supports our aim to keep on innovating and provide powerful, purposeful and multi-faceted experiences for all attendees.”
