Global Exhibitions Day (GED) is held annually on the first Wednesday of June and this year’s is therefore set for 1 June 2022. Global association for the exhibition industry UFI and the wider industry family are marking the 100 Days to Go countdown, 21 February.
#GED2022 is open to everyone interested in increasing the visibility of the exhibition industry regionally and on a global scale.
Some key metrics from #GED2021 success include 106 recorded activities, countries and regions; a reach of 782m (total number of users who have come across #GED2021) and 9,148 unique pieces of content. There were also 19 physical events organise across the globe dedicated to #GED2021.
For many organisations GED means a time to connect with members of UFI and colleagues in different regions and there have been some fantastically creative social media campaigns showing how we all stay connected even where we are apart.
From videos and meetings with policy makers, to webinars and hybrid events, to webcasts, social campaigns, virtual running parties, and more, UFI is again inviting all event industry professionals and enthusiasts to get ready once more and get involved in the many different events that will take place around the world – and help make #GED2022 the best Global Exhibitions Day yet.
Start using the hashtag #GED2022, You can also share photos of you and your colleagues with the GED logo - Click here to download. Also share stories from your exhibition, product launches, a notable person who attended your show, a quote from an exhibitor, or ROI statistics.
UFI is also encouraging members to create their own 'Voices of the exhibition industry' card and share thoughts on the future of the industry (template available here)
And don’t forget to ask your government officials for endorsement and recognition of the exhibition industry.
