Informa Markets in India has announced the fifth edition of RenewX, a two-day renewable energy trade expo, to be held19-20 November at the Hitex, Hyderabad. RenewX 2021, aims to provide an industry platform to renewable energy buyers and sellers.
The show will include a two-day conference, product showcase and pavilions.
The expo comes in the backdrop of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow, Scotland, which concluded 13 November. It also comes after criticism in some quarters of India’s intervention to water down COP26 commitments to phase out the global use of coal.
Speaking on the announcement, Yogesh Mudras, managing director of Informa Markets in India, said: “India’s renewable energy sector is the most attractive renewable energy market in the world. As of July 2021, India had 96.96 GW of renewable energy and represents 25.2% of the overall installed power capacity.
Mudras added: “We are excited to bounce back with the 5th edition of RenewX 2021 this year in an in-person format, which has been an excellent platform for the renewable energy Industry experts down South. It gives various opportunities for the buyers and sellers to showcase their products and to discuss business opportunities.”
The live conference agenda will aim to reflect on a vast array of new innovations and technologies, including panel discussions such as:
