Exhibition World welcomes three new members of UFI, the global association of the exhibition industry, with a short showcase of each:
Feria de Valladolid
Feria de Valladolid, in Spain’s north-west interior, is facing its future with a strong commitment to internationalisation and a high degree of specialisation of its events. Management says it is keen to develop shows focused on a wide range of contents and sustainable concepts.
The variety of sectors serviced by Feria de Valladolid, includes agriculture, wine industry and tourism, the audiovisual industry, inland tourism, biomass and video games. Agraria, FINE #WineTourismExpo, Shooting Locations Marketplace, INTUR, SIEB, Expobiomasa and Ultralan are just some of the projects developed and held at Feria de Valladolid.
The venue has a history of almost 60 years, and offers versatile spaces and recently renewed pavilions.
Feria de Valladolid has a uniquely central location being just ten minutes walking from Plaza Mayor, the main square of the city, which is a friendly destination with a vibrant cultural and artistic life and top gastronomic and wine tourism offers.
Feria de Valladolid joined UFI this year and is one of the founding partners of AFE, Asociación de Ferias Españolas (The Spanish Association of Fairs) created in 1964.
CINTERMEX International Convention and Exhibition Center
CINTERMEX International Convention and Exhibition Center, in Monterrey, Mexico, opened its doors on 25 April, 1991, and has 30 years of experience in the events industry.
It hosts a range of events, from executive meetings of 10 people, conferences, training, anniversary events, loyalty and seniority awards, to large congresses, graduations, quinceañera (15-year-old party), weddings and, of course, exhibitions.
The centre’s facilities, services and comprehensive technology are focused both on events and on the Permanent Business area (Condominiums).
CINTERMEX (pictured right) currently has ISO 9001:2015 certification + Clean Point (Punto Limpio) and Distinctive H (Distintivo H) in the Gran Cocina de Eventos and in the restaurant LA ARCADA 1200.
The venue is located within Parque Fundidora, a multifunctional urban park, which makes a major contribution to the area’s social fabric by offering a green, safe, and 100% free access space.
To organise events at Parque Fundidora, you can do so through CINTERMEX. Events can be held in any of its gardens and plazas, as well as in the majestic Nave Lewis.
The Panama Convention Center
The Panama Convention Center is a monumental structure designed for exhibitions and conventions and offers spaces that are carefully designed to satisfy the most demanding standards of event organisers.
Strategically located on the banks of the Panama Canal, next to the heart of Panama’s administrative centre and the Museum of Biodiversity designed by Frank Gehry, the Panama Convention Center is one of the largest in the Central American region, with more than 33,500sqm and it is equipped with the most advanced state-of-the- art technology.
The imposing structure stands out for its avant-garde design and includes a 2,000sqm Center Lobby with two main entrances: one overlooking the Canal and the other facing the cosmopolitan Panama City.
You can also find a 4,000sqm banquet hall facing the entrance of the Panama Canal, and an Exhibition Hall with more than 15,000sqm and a maximum capacity of 23,906 people. With almost 1,700 parking spaces, the entire building sits on 62,000sqm.
