Although parts of Asia are seeing a cautious restart in travel and tradefair business, VNU, organisers of Pet Fair South East Asia (SEA), have decided to postpone their planned launch of the tradefair this October to 20-22 January 2021. It will still take place at BITEC, Bangkok in Thailand.
Instead of hosting a live event in October, VNU will now launch a virtual buyer fair called PreConnect to be held on the original opening date, 14 October 2020. It will be a platform to enable buyers from 15 countries to meet new brands and products virtually.
“As a fast-growing community, we believe in change by innovation. Pet Fair Sea represents brands from across the world. The international community, in particular from Europe and North America are major contributors. We believe that exhibitors should have at least 3 months’ time to prepare for a quality and international tradefair. We choose to give more time for a recovery of international travel. By postponing the physical trade fair, we still support our exhibitors and buyers to organise their participation and connecting them ahead of the physical meetings through our virtual PreConnect platform”, said Manuel Madani, who heads the organiser team at Pet Fair Sea.
