Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH (HMC) has appointed Michael Wiedekamp as new Director Guest Events.
Wiedekamp took over the role, 1 April, from Anja Ehrke, who left HMC after 19 years to pursue new professional opportunities.
Wiedekamp previously worked as the events manager at the restaurant and brewery ‘Schanzenhöfe - Altes Mädchen’, located close to the Messe. At Hamburg Messe und Congress, he will be responsible for 30 to 40 guest events per year.
Bernd Aufderheide, CEO and President of HMC, said: “In Michael Wiedekamp, Hamburg Messe und Congress has been able to recruit a proven expert in the field of event management and sales.
