Global exhibition organiser UBM is to launch ProPak in the Philippines in January 2019.
The launch follows the successful 27th edition of the big regional ProPak Asia 2018 trade show held in Bangkok in June and attended by 48,799 visitors.
Over, 1,160 delegates went to Bangkok from the Philippines, including 450 delegates led by the country’s Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
A ProPak Philippines Investment Forum was also held at the ProPak Asia 2018.
All good building blocks, it seems, for the launch of ProPak Philippines, which will take place 24-26 January 2019 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila, Pasay City.
Organisers hope to deliver to the Philippines a first-of-its-kind international standard industry trade event focused on processing and packaging, and connect leading international and local suppliers to local and regional buyers in Manila.
UBM expects ProPak Philippines to attract 180 exhibitors from across the world with international pavilions already confirmed from mainland China, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Singapore, Taiwan and the UK. The organiser also expects 6,000 industry trade visitors.
Official DTI support for ProPak Philippines was officially signed recently by Usec. Zenaida Maglaya of the Regional Operation Group of the DTI; Dexter Deyto, GM of UBM Exhibitions Philippines, and Lt. Col. Joseph Ross Jocson, president of Packaging Institute of the Philippines (PIP).
