The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) has announced the appointment of Celeste Johnston as their new director of information technology.
Johnston joins MCEC from AGL, where she was head of digital technology quality assurance, digital transformation capability leader. She has held a number of senior positions with organisations including Credit Suisse, Telstra and Coles Myer.
MCEC chief executive Peter King said he was excited to have Johnston join the MCEC team in the newly-created role: “Celeste’s appointment comes at a time when we require further innovation, energy and cross-departmental collaboration as we take our business into the future.
“This is an exciting time for MCEC and I’m looking forward to Celeste joining us in August.”
Johnston said she was delighted to be joining MCEC: “I’m really excited about joining the MCEC family. I’m particularly looking forward to collaborating across the business to define the future pathway for digital transformation, while ensuring best in class technology for an industry I am so passionate about.”
Johnston will commence as director of information technology at MCEC on Monday 6 August 2018.
