Guangdong Tanzhou International Convention and Exhibition Centre opens

Consisting of five exhibition halls spanning 50,000sqm of indoor exhibition space and 20,000sqm outdoor exhibition area (phase one), the Guangdong Tanzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center (GICEC) was commissioned on 12 September 2016.

Deutsche Messe partnered with the local government in the GICEC project from the early conceptual stage through to design and during the construction stage, and will continue to provide operational consulting to the venue under a long term agreement.

GICEC is the only venue of its kind in China tailored to serve the specific needs of industrial exhibitions. The clear height of the halls range from 14m - 19m with rigging points of 2 tons capacity every 9 meters and 100 kg hanging points every 2metres.

GICEC is targeting the equipment manufacturing and intelligent manufacturing (robotation and automation) of the Pearl River Delta area.

After the official opening of GICEC, two large exhibitions for equipment manufacturing industry and Internet plus will be held, each using the entire 50,000sqm of available exhibition space.

More than 10 exhibitions in the areas of intelligent manufacturing, furniture, household appliance, ceramic and machinery are in the pipeline for 2017.
