AEG Facilities has taken over the Puerto Rico Convention Center, and new general manager Jorge Perez has revealed his plans for the venue.

Perez served as the director of finance at the PRCC for the last six years and spent 10 years as director of administration for the Latin America Café/Restaurant. He has a government background, having worked for eight years as the management and budget director for the Office of Government Ethics of Puerto Rico, an entity that received one of the only perfect audits in its history during his tenure there.

Perez will oversee overall management of the PRCC, including sales and marketing, operations, finance, food and beverage, and customer service, while implementing the strategic positioning and marketing plans for the facility in conjunction with the PRCCDA and Meet Puerto Rico.
