International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney) is promoting its proportional representation of women at both directorial and staff level.
Women currently represent 63 per cent of ICC Sydney’s workforce, 56 per cent are at a director level and 45% make up the company’s executive team.
ICC Sydney CEO, Geoff Donaghy said he expected a level gender split within the workforce to continue as the team grows to its full capacity of over 300 full time and more than 1,200 casual employees.
“ICC Sydney will continue to apply its commitment to workforce diversity as we grow an extraordinary team to open one of the world’s most exciting venues in December. A workplace that attracts people with different perspectives will drive innovation, collaboration and overall productivity,” Donaghy added.
ICC Sydney has also partnered with Working Mothers Connect, an industry group that advocates for mothers who are transitioning back into the workforce after an extended break for childbirth or child raising.
Other initiatives ICC Sydney supports include participation in the Australian Breastfeeding Association’s Breastfeeding Friendly Workplace programme.
