The Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia (EEAA) has revealed its presenters for the 2015 Leaders Forum and Conference, including speakers from organisations including HSBC.
The event will be held in Sydney on 1-2 December. Other speakers represent companies including Qantas and Twitter Australia.
EEAA chief executive Joyce DiMascio said that attendees will hear from outstanding high achievers in two days of knowledge sharing and networking specifically designed to equip those working in the exhibition and events industry with information that will power their future success.
“We’ll be taking our delegates outside their day-today tasks for two days of high-level and practical learning with some big names from economics, advocacy, digital marketing, media, issues management, education, Austrade and from key organisers who drive the Australian events calendar," DiMascio said.
“The growing stature of the EEAA is reflected in the illustrious line-up of on-stage talent that we have secured to speak to our delegates. This is a testament to the growing recognition of the importance of the exhibition and events sector.”
The 2015 EEAA Leaders Forum at Royal Randwick on 1 December includes:
· An economic scene-setter with Paul Bloxham, chief economist with HSBC
· A look at Sydney's infrastructure boom with Dr Tim Williams, CEO, Committee for Sydney who will explore the role venues play in the economic life of cities
· Geoff Donaghy, president of the International Association of Congress Centres will discuss the key trends in design of centres globally and how Australia performs
· Globally recognised leader in data driven marketing, Christian Bartens, CEO and founder of Datalicious will unpack what you should be asking from your marketing and digital strategy
· Paul Greenberg, CEO of NORA, the Voice of New Retail will present a salient reminder about reconnecting with customers with a look at the 'phygital' world
· An Austrade briefing on the Free Trade Agreements and what this all means for Australian business
· A deep-dive into current changes being considered in higher education and training with Professor Simon Darcy, University of Technology Sydney; Melinda Brown, Service Skills Australia; Kathy Herd, Sydney TAFE Ultimo; Boris Kelly, College of Event Management

The EEAA 2015 Conference at Doltone House - Darling Island Wharf on 2 December includes:
· Kate Carnell AO, CEO of Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), will share her observations of the current business climate and the ‘culture’ of the Malcom Turnbull-led Federal Government
· Olivia Wirth, group executive, brand, marketing & corporate affairs of Qantas, will deliver a keynote on managing brand, reputation and issues in a changing media and consumer landscape
· Joanna Savill, food media expert and Fairfax Media’s former Good Food Month festival director will moderate the day and also deliver a keynote
· Paul Greenberg, chief executive officer, NORA The Voice of New Retail will talk about getting to the heart of the connected customer

DiMascio also said the Leaders Forum and Conference will refresh thinking, highlight opportunities and stimulate new ideas which attendees can take back and implement in their own businesses to ensure the continued growth of our sector.
The conference will be followed by the EEAA 2015 Awards for Excellence at which finalists will be honoured. The evening will be hosted by SBS news anchor, Janice Petersen. Each weeknight, she presents the SBS World News at 6.30pm, alongside Anton Enus.
Petersen has been included in lists of influential people, including Harper’s Bazaar’s 'Fabulous at Every Age 2014' and 'Who’s Who' biological reference of notable Australians, and was the host for the Australia Day Lunch this year at Luna Park.
“This is our industry's night of nights, where we celebrate the highest achievers in our industry and we are delighted Janice can join us on this special night,” DiMascio said.
