Education trade show Bett has partnered with Microsoft for its events in the UK, Asia and Latin America over a period of three years, organiser i2i Events Group has announced.
Bett and Microsoft will work together to help deliver inspiring content at Bett events around the world, that shares next generation ideas and innovative technology-based classroom practices.
“Technology opens the door to a world full of possibilities, infused with curiosity for educators and students alike,” said Anthony Salcito, vice president, worldwide education at Microsoft.
“I’m excited to work alongside Bett to not only celebrate inspired thinking and leadership, but to encourage, challenge and push each other to deliver big change and transformation in learning.”
The educator-led sessions will showcase methods that have the greatest effect on education results and will highlight inspirational concepts to help develop 21st century skills and find solutions to global challenges.
Mark Shashoua, chief executive i2i Events Group, said: “This collaboration goes beyond business for both Bett and Microsoft. Working together to improve education, global prosperity and innovation, in a necessary cultural shift, is exciting. The content that will be offered across Bett events will share and celebrate new ways of thinking, working and educating. This is because we know that supporting teachers is one of the most effective ways of offering the best possible life chances and wellbeing for young people now, preparing them with the right skills for the future.”
The organiser said this partnership aligns with Microsoft’s commitment in education to empower educators and inspire students to achieve more, and mirrors Bett’s on-going pledge to help those working in education to explore the potential that technology, collaboration and creativity can offer.
