Christine Davidson, dmg events Middle East & Asia
Dubai-based organiser dmg events Middle East & Asia has appointed Christine Davidson as group event director of its hospitality, leisure and outdoor portfolio.
Davidson has 19 years’ exhibitions and media experience across a range of industries. She joined dmg in September 2012 as event director of The Hotel Show Dubai, which recently launched a Saudi Arabia edition.
Under Davidson's leadership, the portfolio has grown from one core event to a further seven brands and represents a sizable part of dmg’s operation in the region.
“I am delighted to have been offered this new challenge,” said Davidson. “There is a wealth of opportunity within the hospitality sector, which is seeing unprecedented growth in this region alone, so I have plans to develop, improve and increase our offering here.”
“But, I am also keen to break into new territories, so the next couple of years look very busy and exciting,” she added.
