A new Las Vegas convention centre has established itself as one of the most exclusive digs in town, with owners pledging to only offer accommodation to meetings and events delegates.
The International Peace Education Centre (IPEC), near McCarran International Airport, claims it is the city’s only freestanding meetings venue to reserve guest rooms exclusively for event delegates.
Also referred to as the Peace Palace, the centre was intended as an education and training centre for followers of the late Reverend Sun Myung Moon, reports to the Las Vegas Sun.
Open for bookings, the centre features about 1,800sqm of flexible space, suitable for 50 to 720 delegates, as well as 49 rooms that can accommodate 200 guests.
“In developing IPEC, we envisioned a venue geared especially for education and training, meetings and special-occasion events,” said IPEC asset manager, Michael Fiorentino. “Las Vegas is the meetings capital of the world, and IPEC allows planners and attendees the best of all worlds—a self-contained, tranquil atmosphere free of distractions and conducive to the greatest productivity, yet close enough to the Strip and all it has to offer for off-site excursions.”
The venue is positioning itself as an ideal location for meetings and events that require an immersive and focused atmosphere, such as association conferences and exhibitions, corporate meetings, education events and training sessions.
It features six conference rooms, of varying size, which can seat 22 to 61 people lecture-style or 28 to 79 people theatre style, as well as a ballroom spanning about 900sqm, a 450sqm front foyer and 230sqm kitchen offering 24 hour food and beverage service.
IPEC’s 49 guest rooms include 46 rooms with two queen-sized beds, as well as two one-bedroom suites and one four-bedroom suite.
