UBM Live redesigns CPhI for 2010

FRANCE – UBM Live’s CPhI Worldwide is introducing zoning for the first time this year, in an attempt to make the even easier to navigate.

The show floor will be divided up into six different zones, APIs, Custom Manufacturing, Intermediates, Fine Chemicals, Excipients and General, after exhibitor and visitor research found visitors wanted ‘more talking, less walking’, and a more focused show experience.

UBM Live is also running the first Pharma Outsourcing Roundtable on the second day of the event, to be held at Paris-Nord Villepinte from 5 to 7 October.

“CPhI and its associated events have continued to flourish even during the worst recession in recent history and this has been very gratifying,” said CPhI brand director, Annemieke Timmers. “We continue to evolve the events to meet industry demands and again go back to the synergy that exists between them and the fact that all aspects of the pharma industry are represented in one place.”

Event organiser UBM Live expects the attendance for the event, its flagship trade show for pharma ingredients, bio-solutions, machinery, technology and outsourcing, to exceed the 25,000 seen at last year’s event in Madrid. Exhibitor numbers currently stand at 1,934, up on last year’s 1,808.
