Record number of entries for EIBTM WorldWide Technology Watch

WORLD - EIBTM’s WorldWide Technology Watch (WTW) competition has received 50 entries, the highest number in the contest’s history.

Entries represent new technology solutions for the meetings industry and 70 per cent of companies entering did so for the first time.

Types of products entered include mobile technology and virtual reality solutions to support meetings.

The EIBTM WTW will be judged on three criteria – innovation and uniqueness, potential impact on the industry, and completeness of the product or service.

Chairman of the judging panel Corbin Ball, said: “With a record number of entries this year, the range of innovative products for this year’s WTW looks excellent.”

The judging will take place on 6 October and the winner will receive a free stand to exhibit at the Technology Village @ EIBTM 2010 in Barcelona.

The EIBTM Technology Village show feature, organiser Reed Travel Exhibitions reports, is now sold out.
