PAX East Coast 2010 to move to Boston Convention and Exhibition Center

USA - The gaming convention PAX East Coast, which attracts more than 53,000 gamers annually, is to move to larger facilities at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.

Its organiser, Reed Exhibitions, has committed to a long-term occupancy to 2013, says the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority.

In its first year outside of its headquarters of Seattle, PAX East Coast 2009 was held at the Hynes Convention Center and at the time, the show director, Robert Khoo, said that it would likely have to move to larger facilities to be able to handle the anticipated crowds.

President and CEO of the Greater Boston Convention and Visitors Bureau, Pat Moscaritolo, says the exhibition is estimated to generate over US$16m for the local economy.

The three-day exhibition, PAX East Coast, is scheduled for 11-13 March 2011.
