UAE – Emirates education event GESS is moving the show to Abu Dhabi in 2011, in response to growing demand from both public and private educational institutions.
According to organiser Fairs and Exhibitions (F&E), the 2011 edition of the show will take place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Centre (ADNEC) on 26-28 April 2011.
The event, which caters for growing demand from education professionals across the UAE, will alternate between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, allowing educational practitioners access to a wider range of educational programmes and forums.
Abu Dhabi’s advisor to the minister of education, Abdallah Al Amiri, said the selection of Abu Dhabi as the location for GESS 2011 is part of the ministry of education's ongoing strategy work with new partners to reach a wider audience with its educational programmes and initiatives.
“It is clear that there is significant demand for an event such as GESS, and we are committed to creating a platform for educational practitioners from across the UAE to benefit from," he said.
Chief executive officer of F&E, Clive Richardson, said feedback he has received shows there is a real need for an event that “enables educational practitioners to come together and share knowledge and best practice”.
