Expo Summit moves into Africa

SOUTH AFRICA - Manch Communications, organiser of annual Indian exhibition conference Expo Summit, is launching an edition for the African continent.

Expo Summit Africa will be held on 27-28 January, 2011, at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, pictured, in South Africa.

The decision follows an invitation by industry stakeholders in South Africa to replicate the event’s success there, co-located with the Annual Conference of EXSA, the South African exhibition industry association.

Following a similar agenda to its Indian counterpart, the Expo Summit Africa will be a platform for trade show organisers to look at the developing markets of South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria and Sudan for organising the exhibitions.

Expo Summit India, which took place on 4-5 June in New Delhi, was attended by 194 delegates comprising exhibition organisers, venue owners, autonomous government bodies and service providers from India and abroad. Speakers included UFI’s incoming MD Paul Woodward, Business Strategies Group MD Mark Cochrane and Marco Spinger, the director division of global markets at German association AUMA.
