The NEC Group, UK has announced a contract expansion with audio-visual and entertainment technology company Anna Valley as part of the group’s Preferred Supplier Programme.
Under the multi-year agreement, Anna Valley’s on-site team will continue to be responsible for maintaining audio-visual equipment installed at the Birmingham NEC and will also collaborate with organisers to deliver events at the venue.
Anna Valley’s team will be based out of a soon-to-be renovated shopfront on the atrium side of the venue.
Donna Cunningham, NEC Group conventions sales director, said: “[Anna Valley’s] base at the NEC is a real plus point for both organisers and exhibitors, ensuring that any technical aspects of their event are easily managed. The company’s creativity and expertise in AV systems, support and maintenance is invaluable and will play a huge role in both retaining existing events and securing new ones in the future.”
Ross Parker, NEC Group head of commercial partnerships, said: “Since the digitisation project that Anna Valley carried out in 2019, we’ve seen organisers, exhibitors and our commercial partners utilising the digital assets that we have across our portfolio of venues.
“The screens have also become a key communication tool for our audiences and have proved invaluable in communicating important Covid-19 messaging and other key information as part of our Venue Protect programme.”
Nick Hart, commercial director at Anna Valley, said: “We have a great working relationship with the team and a detailed knowledge of the venues, meaning we can help both event organisers and venue management get the best out of AV at all times.”
