A total of 669 exhibiting companies have confirmed their participation at the International Machine Tool Biennial Exhibition (BIEMH), where 84% of the available floor space is now booked. The event is set to take place at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre, Spain, 30 May-3 June 202.
The event will reunite advanced manufacturing companies once again as the sector seeks an upward trajectory.
The European Association of the Machine Tool Industries and related Manufacturing Technologies (CECIMO) recently said that production in the sector in Europe had been growing again by the end of 2021 (11.5%) and that economic indicators for 2022 were positive. Despite interruptions to the supply chain caused by the pandemic, domestic consumption is forecast to grow by 15.22%, and exports by 12%.
The fair was recently awarded the Full Internationality certificate by the Spanish Ministry of Industry and Trade. It is an official award that recognises the participation of a large number of international companies and the support from the sector.
