The organisers of International Confex, Mash Media, have confirmed that the event has been postponed to early September, where it will run at ExCeL London.
Sister shows the PA Show and the Publishing Show are also to be postponed.
The show was due to take place from 22-23 June, but given the rise in cases of Covid-19, the safety and confidence of visitors, exhibitors and staff is the primary concern.
A spokesperson for the show said: “As you know, we have been rallying hard to run International Confex 2021 as soon as possible within safety considerations.
“While we are logistically ready to run and do have a core delegate registration of over 4,000, we have concerns about the impact to visitor confidence and have seen a significant slowing in registrations over the last few weeks.
“International Confex is a celebration of the events industry and all about the networking experience. While we wish to showcase the industry’s ability to run an event even under restricted parameters, it is our obligation to deliver a show for our key stake holders that they deserve, and where we can feel fully confident in the ROI that the show will generate.
“It is therefore with everyone’s best interests at heart that we have decided to postpone.”
A fuller statement will follow on 15 June.
