Italy’s IEG Group has signed a co-operation agreement for the joint organisation of a new Hydrogen Show as part of the next editions of its KEY– The Energy Transition Expo, which runs at Rimini Expo Centre 5-7 March 2025.
Hydrogen, especially electrolysis-derived green hydrogen fuelled by clean energy, is crucial for achieving decarbonisation targets: the European Union plans to reach 20m tonnes by 2030, 10m of which will be produced and the other half imported.
It was with a view to enhancing the crucial role of hydrogen in reducing polluting emissions, that IEG and Hannover Fairs International GmbH (HFI), the Italian branch of Deutsche Messe AG, say they signed a collaboration agreement for the joint organisation of the new Hydrogen Show supported by Hydrogen & Fuel Cells.
Hydrogen & Fuel Cells EUROPE is organised and managed by Deutsche Messe AG (DMAG), the German trade show company and takes place at Hannover Messe and deals with the entire life cycle of hydrogen – in particular green hydrogen as a substitute for fossil fuels.
The new Hydrogen Show, supported by Hydrogen & Fuel Cells, aims to carve out a firm place in the discussion on hydrogen issues and be a moment of reference for the main players in the industry, the partners say and claim it is a natural evolution and reinforcement of the KEY exhibition area dedicated to hydrogen.
