The UK’s biggest B2C event, The Ideal Home Show, has joined the long list of events to move to later this year.
In an announcement 17 March, the organiser Media 10 stated:
"In light of the announcement by the UK government advising against all but necessary travel and other measures restricting public gatherings, the Ideal Home Show team have been working tirelessly with venue partners to secure new dates after the impact period of the Coronavirus outbreak. We will hopefully announce new dates in the next 7 days.
"Over the last few weeks we have been in constant contact with our sponsors, media partners, key suppliers and other stakeholders who are fully supportive of our decisions.
"All tickets remain valid and anyone holding a ticket will be contacted with full details very shortly.
"The Ideal Home Show is the oldest consumer event in the world and has run for over 110 years, and we are committed to ensuring it will survive this crisis and thrive for another 110 years."
The Ideal Home Show attracts 200,000 visitors to Olympia London. Media 10 has also moved Grand Designs Live, held at ExCeL London, back to 22-31 of August and added an extra day in the process. Grand Designs Live attracts a 90,000 visitors and both events have almost 1,000 combined exhibitors.
