GITEX Global, known for hosting the world's largest tech event in Dubai, is launching the GITEX Digi Health 5.0 conference in partnership with Medical Fair Asia 2024 at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
The conference, held on 11-12 September, will focus on the convergence of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital health, featuring international speakers from the government, industry and academia. The event aims to drive innovation in Southeast Asia's growing digital health market, which is projected to reach $99.57 billion by 2029.
Gernot Ringling, managing director of Messe Düsseldorf Asia, described the partnership as a "complementary" alliance, leveraging Meidcal Fair Asia's regional influence and GITEX's global expertise.
Key speakers will include Sutowo Wong, director of data analytics at the Ministry of Health Singapore and Dr. Ossama ElHassan, head of E-Health at the Dubai Health Authority. Attendees will explore AI diagnostics, telemedicine and the role of emerging technologies like blockchain and Web3 in transforming healthcare.
Trixie LohMirmand, CEO of KAOUN International, highlighted the event's potential impact, noting that GITEX DIGI_HEALTH 5.0 will rally the region’s healthcare community to "leverage deeptech" in the face of rapid digital industry changes.
This strategic expansion into Asia underscores GITEX’s ambition to establish itself as a key connector in the Asian tech ecosystem, with plans for further growth at GITEX ASIA in April 2025.
The event promises to be a crucial platform for advancing digital health innovation across the region and beyond.
